The Breast-aware was designed to encourage women to perform simple self-checks and identify potential areas for concern. The handheld silicone breast is overmolded onto a translucent pink polycarbonate plastic and contains a small gel ball inside to represent an abnormal growth. The position of the gel ball is never in the same position, just as no two growths are the same. By using closed fingertips to gently probe the Breast-aware in different motions, it not only spreads awareness but aims to educate women on the simple techniques they can do to increase early detection.
